A summer in Berlin
In Berlin you have to take advantage of every sunbeam in summer. Take out your nudist side in the lakes that surround the city, disinhibit yourself screaming in a karaoke, cool off with beer ... There is no beach here, and there is no need for it.
LAKES AND BICYCLES
In Berlin, summer is time for lakes. Also of bicycle, that in the German capital is, more than a fashion, a lifestyle. The lakes, in addition to being a few pedaling, allow you to forget about the pool, swim in the middle of nature and give free rein to that love for nudism that the Germans have. Dispense with the swimsuit is optional, but it can be taken as a challenge to our self-conscious Catholic mentality and also facilitates spontaneous plans, since in Berlin you never know when the sun will rise to stay.

The Wansee, to the southwest, it is one of the most used but the Schlachtensee, just north of the previous one, is one of the cleanest (important data). At the eastern end of the city is the Müggelsee, one of the largest, while the most central is undoubtedly Halensee, a stone's throw from the luxury boutiques of Kurfürstendamm.

Outdoor karaoke in Mauerpark It is one of the essential summer traditions. In addition to being the best known Sunday market and more given to posturing, is the place where you can find bicycles of mysterious origin and very doubtful legitimacy at thrown prices, of course. People who dare to sing in the amphitheater located in one of the corners of the park are usually delivered and even disguised. Lady Gaga is a shabby by her side, so it is not worth going there to seriously sing one of the tricks of Mariah Carey or Operation Triunfo. As this video shows.
BEER AND MORE BEER
Biergarten The word says it all and is a winning combination. In these months in which the good weather appears intermittently, two of the strengths of Berlin. For many Germans there is only something better than drinking beer and it is do it outdoors, enjoying a hot climate that rarely becomes torrid. Among the essentials is Prater, an unexpected oasis between the shops and restaurants of the always lively and urban Kastanienallee (Prenzlauer Berg). The Cafe am Neuen See it's the best thing that happened to Tiergarten. A green temple to relax in front of a lake, where to eat, drink or ride a boat (but not bathe) in Lichtensteinallee 2, behind the city zoo.

In the channel between Kreuzberg and Treptow they compete side by side for the most showy clientele on Club der Visionäre and the Freischwimmer and not only during the night. The inevitable fourth option is Golgatha, which is located in one of the most interesting green areas: the Viktoriapark and its waterfall-viewpoint. It only opens from April to October and, except for the days when there is a football match, it has an unbeatable atmosphere that is accessed from the Dudenstrasse 40. Those who prefer more tranquility and do not mind moving away from the city center, Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee, around the metro Krumme Lanke. And who prefers to take home beer the best option is Planufer, near the channel that runs through Neukölln and Kreuzberg.

An even more complete plan is that of the outdoor cinemas, which take advantage of the large number of parks and gardens in Berlin. Some of them are prepared for non-German speakers and offer subtitled and original version movies. Among the most popular fleiluftkinos, as they are called in German, is that of Hasenheide In a large park and multiple leisure options. In there it is not complicated to see camels and ponies or to smoke life on the grass (and not necessarily in that order). The film calendar for this summer includes Argo, Springbreakers or Scarface. It is accessed from the Hermannplatz or Boddinstrasse metro stops. Much more formal is the cinema of the Volkspark Friedrichshain, which on its website indicates the movies that can be watched in English. In Wedding, which like Teruel also exists, the Rocky Horror Picture Show Meanwhile in Kreuzberg The courtyard of the Kunstquartier Bethanien hides its own projection room in the Mariannenplatz.
